I bought this phone to have as a back up for when power goes out. So obviously it doesn’t require power to operate. It has no bells or whistles. No caller ID, no message waiting light, and so on.
For the price you can’t beat it. My only grip is the ring tone is horrible. It’s a “chirp” sound and it scares my cat!
I highly recommend this phone to anyone that wants a plain basic phone. Something rare these days.

What is so great for me is the icon showing the battery strength, no more guessing or having it "die" on me. The only problem I'm having so far is when I designate a certain ring for a certain person. That part doesn't seem to work. But for me it doesn't really matter. Reception is good, there doesn't seem to be static or interference. I’ve only had this phone for about a month, but so far I really like it. What is so great for me is the icon showing the battery strength, no more guessing or having it “die” on me. The only problem I’m having so far is when I designate a certain ring for a certain person. That part doesn’t seem to work. But for me it doesn’t really matter. Reception is good, there doesn’t seem to be static or interference. Nice size etc.
